Olympic Medal: Men's Biathlon 20-kilometer

SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Martin Fourcade of France won the Olympic gold medal Thursday in the 20-kilometer biathlon race.

It was the second gold medal of these Games for Fourcade, who also won the biathlon pursuit.

The silver went to Erik Lesser of Germany and the bronze to Evgeniy Garanichev of Russia.

Ole Einar Bjorndalen of Norway, trying to establish a career record for most medals won in the Winter Olympics, finished 34th. He missed four targets and lagged more than three minutes out of a medal position.
