WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Former NBA star Michael Jordan and his wife Yvette Prieto announced the birth of twin daughters in Florida, Victoria and Ysabel.

"Michael and Yvette Jordan are thrilled to announce that their identical twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel, were born Sunday, February 9, 2014 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Yvette and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival," Jordan's manager told E! News.

The girls are the first children for Prieto, a former model, and Jordan's fifth and sixth. He has three grown children with ex-wife Juanita Vanoy.

Jordan, 50, and Prieto tied the knot April 27 after five years of dating. They announced the pregnancy in November.
