SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 8 (UPI) --
Marit Bjoergen of Norway won the eighth medal of her Winter Olympics career Saturday, capturing the gold in the women's cross-country skiathlon.
Bjoergen collected five medals in Vancouver four years ago, more than any other athlete in those Games.
Charlotte Kalla of Sweden claimed the silver and Heidi Weng of Norway collected the bronze.
