NBA: New Orleans 98, Minnesota 91

NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Eric Gordon picked up nine of his 20 points during a fourth-quarter surge that hoisted the New Orleans Pelicans over Minnesota 98-91 Friday.

Gordon canned four of his five shots down the stretch as the Pelicans outscored the Timberwolves 37-20 on their way to a sixth win in eight games.

Anthony Davis pumped in 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Brian Roberts helped New Orleans' cause with 16 points and six assists.

Kevin Love provided 26 points and 19 rebounds for Minnesota, which fell for the fourth time in five contests.

Corey Brewer chipped in 16 points and Kevin Martin added 15.
