NHL: Los Angeles 2, Columbus 1 (OT)

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Robyn Regehr scored a rare goal exactly midway through overtime Thursday to bring Los Angeles a 2-1 win over Columbus.

The Kings ended a four-game losing streak, coming up with a score from an unlikely source.

Regehr has been in the NHL for 14 seasons and has played in 1,002 games. The goal he scored against the Blue Jackets was the 32nd of his career and the second since he came to the Kings from Buffalo at the start of the 2012-13 season.

The game had been deadlocked since Jake Muzzin scored on a deflection for the Kings 3:09 into the third period. Columbus came up with its goal just 1:40 into the game, that coming from Jack Johnson on the power play.

Jonathan Quick blanked the Blue Jackets for the final 60 minutes, 50 seconds and made 24 saves. Sergei Bobrovsky allowed the two Los Angeles goals on 20 shots.
