NHL: Chicago 2, Anaheim 0

ANAHEIM, Calif., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Corey Crawford made 29 saves in picking up his first shutout of the season Wednesday, carrying Chicago to a 2-0 win over Anaheim.

The Ducks, owners of the best record in the NHL, lost their third in a row.

It was the ninth shutout of Crawford's seven-year career, which spans 193 games.

Marian Hossa scored 39 seconds into the middle period for his 24th goal of the season. It remained a 1-0 game until Jonathan Toews tallied with 2:31 left in the contest.

Chicago won for the third time in four outings to move within a point of the Ducks for the league's top record.

Anaheim finished a five-game homestand with a 1-4 mark. Jonas Hiller gave up the two goals on 25 shots.
