NBA: Brooklyn 103, San Antonio 89

NEW YORK, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Alan Anderson came off the bench to score 22 points Thursday and send Brooklyn to a 103-89 win over shorthanded San Antonio.

The Nets fell behind by seven after one quarter, but dominated the rest of the way to defeat the Spurs for the first time in seven tries.

Anderson hit 9-of-15 from the field and was backed up by Deron Williams with 16 points and Paul Pierce with 12.

San Antonio has been playing without Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard and the Spurs were missing Tim Duncan and Tony Parker as well against the Nets.

Parker left Wednesday's game against Washington with tightness in his lower back and Duncan was rested in Thursday's contest.

That left Cory Joseph as the Spurs' leading scorer with 18 points. Danny Green pitched in 17 points and Patty Mills had 16.

San Antonio made just 39 percent of its shots and turned the ball over 17 times.
