NHL: Florida 4, Toronto 1

SUNRISE, Fla., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Tim Thomas helped Florida break a three-game losing streak with 20 saves Tuesday and the Panthers rolled over Toronto 4-1.

Thomas carried a shutout into the third period before David Clarkson finally bested him for the Maple Leafs' lone goal.

Jesse Winchester, Shawn Matthias, Tim Gilbert and Marcel Goc each scored for Florida.

Jonathan Bernier turned aside 45-of-47 shots for the Leafs, who had won three straight coming into the contest.
