Super Bowl wagers top $119 million in Nevada

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- The Nevada Gaming Control Board says $119.4 million was wagered in Nevada on Sunday night's Super Bowl game

"Unaudited figures show a sports book win of $19,673,960 was recorded on wagers totaling $119,400,822. This resulted in a hold percentage of 16.5 percent," Gaming Control Board Chairman A.G. Burnett said Monday in a release.

The wagers beat the total from Super Bowl XLVII in 2013, which showed a sports book win of $7,206,460 on wagers totaling $98,936,798 for a hold percentage of 7.3 percent.
