LOS ANGELES, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Steve Mason regained his hot hand Saturday with a second shutout in three games and the Philadelphia Flyers blanked punchless Los Angeles 2-0.

Mason stopped all 35 Kings shots he faced after having given up four goals in a loss to Anaheim Thursday and shutting out Detroit Tuesday. It was his third shutout of the season overall.

Wayne Simmonds and Claude Giroux each provided a goal and an assist as the Flyers improved to 1-1-0 on a three-game California road trip.

Jonathan Quick stopped 13-of-15 shots for the Kings, who were held without a goal for the third time in six contests and dropped a third straight overall.
