NBA: Atlanta 125, Philadelphia 99

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Mike Scott came off the bench to score 18 points Friday and lead seven Atlanta players in double figures, pushing the Hawks to a 125-99 rout of Philadelphia.

Atlanta won six of its first 20 road games this season, but has now captured three straight away from home -- although they have been against NBA weaklings Orlando, Milwaukee and Philadelphia.

The Hawks led by 12 at halftime and then turned the game into a landslide by producing 38 points and outscoring the 76ers by 15 in the third period.

Scott also grabbed nine rebounds while Elton Brand, another reserve player, had 18 points and eight boards.

All five starters reached double figures for the Hawks with DeMarre Carroll scoring 13.

Philadelphia wasted a 29-point effort from Thaddeus Young, one shy of his season's best.
