Jan. 28, 2014 at 10:22 PM

BOSTON, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Milan Lucic scored twice Tuesday, helping power Boston over Florida 6-2 in the return of former longtime Bruins goalie Tim Thomas.

Zdeno Chara, David Krejci, Shawn Thornton and Reilly Smith also dented Thomas, who led the Bruins to the 2011 Stanley Cup before leaving the team amid acrimony after the following season.

The 39-year-old goalie, who played for Boston for eight seasons overall, yielded six goals on 41 shots.

Bruins counterpart Tuukka Rask turned aside 28-of-30 shots as Boston won a fourth straight.

Dmitry Kulikov and Brad Boyes each scored for the Panthers.
