SACRAMENTO, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Paul George saved the game in the fourth quarter Friday and then scored eight points in overtime to send Indiana past Sacramento 116-111.

The Pacers won for the fifth time in six games and improved to 2-1 on a five-game road trip.

Sacramento appeared headed for a win when it took a four-point lead with 18 seconds to go in the fourth period.

George then hit a 3-point shot with 15 seconds left and was fouled in the process. The ensuing free throw tied the game and Isaiah Thomas missed a shot at the buzzer for the Kings.

David West made a 3-pointer early in the overtime to give Indiana the lead for good and George closed things out by scoring six of Indiana's last eight points. His free throws with 12 seconds remaining clinched the victory.

George scored 36 points, Lance Stephenson added 24 for the Pacers and West had 22. Marcus Thornton poured in 42 points for the Kings.

The teams combined to take 196 shots, 56 of which came from 3-point range.
