NBA: Chicago 89, Charlotte 87

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- D.J. Augustin hit a pair of free throws with 2.7 seconds remaining in the game Saturday, sealing the Chicago Bulls' 89-87 victory over Charlotte.

Augustin's foul shots came after Jannero Pargo had nailed a 3-pointer with 3.4 seconds left, pulling the Bobcats within three.

Augustin ended with 28 points and Taj Gibson had 13 and seven rebounds for the Bulls, who have won four of their last five games.

Mike Dunleavy had 12 points andeight rebounds and Joakim Noah had 11 points and 10 boards for Chicago

Al Jefferson finished with 32 points and 13 rebounds to lead Charlotte, which dropped a second straight.

Pargo scored 15.
