NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson scored 20 points in the first half Monday, fueling the Brooklyn Nets to a 103-80 wire-to-wire rout of the New York Knicks.

It was the seventh win in eight games for the Nets, who were aided by the worst shooting game of the season by New York. The Knicks were just 24-of-71 (33.8 percent) shooting.

Johnson had seven points in an 11-2 first-period run that gave the Nets a 23-12 lead and things never got any better for the Knicks. Brooklyn led 52-38 at the half and by 16 after three periods.

Johnson made 8-of-15 shots, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range, and totaled 25 points in the game. Andray Blatche had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Nets.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 26 points and 12 rebounds.

New York has lost four straight after a five-game winning streak.
