NBA: Golden State 97, New Orleans 87

NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Stephen Curry totaled 28 points and David Lee added 22 more Saturday, propelling the Golden State Warriors over New Orleans 97-87.

Curry distributed eight assists and made four steals and Lee grabbed eight rebounds for Golden State, which took its first win in three games.

Andrew Bogut went 5-of-5 from the field en route to 10 points, hauled down 15 rebounds and five blocked shots.

Anthony Davis pumped in 31 points and collected 17 rebounds for the short-handed Pelicans, who dropped an eighth straight.

Already without injured starters Jrue Holiday and Ryan Anderson, New Orleans learned before the game that center Jason Smith had sustained cartilage damage in his right knee.
