NHL: Boston 4, Dallas 2

DALLAS, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Milan Lucic scored the game-winning goal during a busy third period Thursday, boosting Boston to a 4-2 victory over Dallas.

The division-leading Bruins reached 30 wins for the season while Dallas lost for the seventh time in eight games.

Neither team could score until Boston's David Krejci put a slap shot past Kari Lehtonen with four seconds to go in the middle period.

The Stars and Bruins then combined for five goals in the final period, an offensive show that started with Erik Cole tying the game for Dallas 1:18 into the stanza.

Brad Marchand put Boston back in front and Lucic came through on the power play with 4:14 to play.

Jamie Benn brought Dallas to within one with 1:11 remaining, but Patrice Bergeron scored into an empty net with 16 seconds left.

Chad Johnson gave up two goals on 32 shots while Lehtonen made 37 saves in the loss.
