TORONTO, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- James van Riemsdyk touched off a 3-for-3 showing in the shootout Wednesday, an effort that gave Toronto a 4-3 victory over Buffalo.

The Maples Leafs won their third in a row with the perfect shootout against Ryan Miller, one of the three goaltenders selected to the United States Olympic team.

Van Riemsdyk was joined as a shootout scorer by both Joffrey Lupul and Tyler Bozak, none of whom had scored during regulation play.

Nikolai Kulemin and Morgan Rielly tallied for Toronto in the second period, rallying the Maple Leafs into a 3-2 lead heading into the third.

Cody Hodgson produced a power-play goal in the opening minute of the third to lift the Sabres into a tie.

James Reimer made 27 saves to pick up the win. Miller stopped 36 of 39 shots in regulation and overtime before surrendering the three shootout goals.
