Brady misses Wednesday practice

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 15 (UPI) -- The New England Patriots announced Wednesday an illness had kept quarterback Tom Brady away from practice for this Sunday's AFC title game.

Brady is expected to be ready for New England's meeting with Denver, but he missed what is usually a significant day of work in any NFL week. The Patriots' quarterback had been scheduled to meet with the media Wednesday, but that event was pushed back until Friday.

Long snapper Danny Aiken also missed the practice due to an illness.

Denver will host New England beginning at 3 p.m. ET Sunday with the winner taking on either Seattle or San Francisco in the Super Bowl.
