MIAMI, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- LeBron James poured in 32 points for Miami Tuesday and the Heat overcame a slow start to surge past New Orleans 107-88.

Dwyane Wade registered 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Miami, which trailed by six points at halftime but then caught fire, outscoring the Pelicans 64-39 down the stretch.

Chris Andersen came off the bench to hit all seven of his shots en route to 15 points as the Heat won despite the injury absences of starters Mario Chalmers (Achilles) and Shane Battier (strained quadricep).
