Johnson, Simpson, Spieth share Kapalua lead after three rounds

NAPLES, Fla., Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Dustin Johnson was joined by Webb Simpson and Jordan Spieth atop the leaderboard Sunday following three rounds of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

Johnson, the defending champion, fired a 4-under-par 69 to end 54 holes at 14-under-205, knotted with Simpson (68) and Spieth (69), the reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.

Overnight leader Zach Johnson, who entered Sunday with a three-shot lead, tumbled to a 74 and sole possession of fourth place at 12-under on the Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort.

Sharing fifth one shot further back were Jason Dufner, Brandt Snedeker (each 69), Kevin Streelman (70) and Gary Woodland (67).
