SACRAMENTO, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Thaddeus Young scored 28 points and Evan Turner had 24 Thursday in helping the Philadelphia 76ers to a 113-104 win over the Sacramento Kings.

It was the third consecutive win for the Sixers, who had opened a six-game road trip with two losses.

Philadelphia outscored the Kings by five points in each of the first three periods and had enough of a cushion to hold off a late Sacramento run.

Tony Wroten added 21 points for Philadelphia.

DeMarcus Cousins, hitting 10-of-16 shots, led all scorers with 33 points for the Kings. He also had 14 rebounds. Sacramento also got 23 points from Isaiah Thomas and 18 from Rudy Gay.
