TORONTO, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- DeMar DeRozan ignited a fourth-quarter surge Wednesday that lifted Toronto to a 95-82 victory over Indiana and ended the Pacers' five-game winning streak.
The game was deadlocked with 6:30 to play when Toronto put together a 12-3 run, eight of those points coming from DeRozan.
Toronto outscored the Pacers 19-6 to close out the contest and win its fourth in a row. The Raptors climbed back to the breakeven mark, which in the Atlantic Division is good enough for a 2 ½-game lead over second-place Boston.
DeRozan made only 9-of-24 from the field, but his 26 points led the Raptors. Terrence Ross added 18 points and both Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas had 13. Lowry also contributed 14 assists.
Just three Indiana players reached double figures in scoring and none had more than the 16 points managed by Roy Hibbert.
Four of the five wins in the Indiana streak came at home, where the Pacers have a 15-1 record.
