WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Al Montoya notched his second shutout of the season with 27 saves Tuesday, anchoring the Winnipeg Jets' 3-0 whitewash of Buffalo.

Montoya was busiest in the second period, stopping 12 shots for the Jets, who notched a third straight victory.

Keaton Ellerby and Jacob Trouba and Anthony Peluso accounted for the Jets' goals, with Peluso's an empty-netter.

Jhonas Enroth stopped 23-of-25 shots for the Sabres, who completed December with a 5-5-2 mark.
