NBA: Miami 97, Denver 94

DENVER, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- LeBron James provided 26 points with 10 assists Monday and the Miami Heat handed struggling Denver a seventh straight loss, 97-94.

James drained five 3-pointers and Chris Bosh added 17 points for Miami, which reeled off an eighth victory in nine games.

Ray Allen came off the bench for 13 points and Dwyane Wade netted 12 before leaving early in the third quarter with back spasms.

The Nuggets got 26 points and seven assists from Ty Lawson but couldn't break out of their season-worst skid.

Darrell Arthur and Wilson Chandler each scored 13 points for Denver.
