INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Paul George scored 10 points in the fourth quarter Tuesday and the Indiana Pacers controlled the final period in a 91-76 win over Cleveland.

Cleveland's Tyler Zeller hit a hook shot to open the fourth period and give the Cavaliers a 68-65 lead but the Pacers' Luis Scola scored on a short shot and Ian Mahinmi hit a free throw before George converted a three-point play for a 71-68 Indiana lead.

The Pacers inched further ahead before a pair of Kyrie Irving free throws pulled Cleveland within 80-74 with 6:16 to go. Indiana, however, scored the next 11 points, with George capping the run with a slam for a 91-74 bulge with 1:25 to go.

Two free throws by Anderson Varejao with 1:14 to play were the only points the Cavaliers managed in the game's final 6 minutes as the Pacers outscored Cleveland 26-10 in the fourth quarter.

George, despite 2-of-11 3-point shooting, finished with 21 points and Roy Hibbert chipped in 19 for Indiana.

Varejao's 14 points led Indiana. He also had 11 rebounds.
