NFL: Philadelphia 24, Dallas 22

ARLINGTON, Texas, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Nick Foles hurled two touchdown passes and LeSean McCoy ran for 131 yards Sunday, lifting Philadelphia to an NFC East title with a 24-22 defeat of Dallas.

Foles completed 17-of-26 passes for 263 yards with scoring tosses to McCoy and Brent Celek as the Eagles (10-6) gained the playoffs for the first time since 2010 with a victory in their regular season-ending battle against the Cowboys for the division crown.

McCoy carried the ball 27 times and Celek finished with three catches for 71 yards for Philadelphia, which jumped off to 10-0 lead in the second quarter and never trailed in claiming its seventh triumph in eight games.

Dallas pulled within two points on Dez Bryant's 32-yard TD reception with 3:57 remaining, but Brandon Boykin intercepted Kyle Orton on Dallas' final possession to seal the win.

The Eagles completed an impressive rebound in 2013 after going 12-20 the previous two years and failing to make the playoffs.

Orton, subbing for the injured Tony Romo, made good on 30-of-46 passes for 358 yards, two TDs and two interceptions for the Cowboys (8-8), who were eliminated from post-season contention in the final week for the third straight season.
