NBA: Orlando 109, Detroit 92

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Arron Afflalo led Orlando to a strong third quarter Friday that launched the Magic to a 109-92 triumph over Detroit.

The Magic ended a three-game losing streak and won for only the ninth time this season. They opened a seven-point lead at halftime and then outscored the Pistons 30-18 in the third period.

Afflalo scored 23 points with Nikola Vucevic adding 20 points and 11 rebounds. Victor Oladipo came off the bench to score 16 points with 11 assists.

Detroit was paced by 21 points and eight assists from Brandon Jennings. Orlando shot 52 percent from the field with Afflalo going 9-of-11.

The Magic equaled their second most one-sided win of the year. Their largest margin of victory this season has been 21 points, which came against Brooklyn in the fourth game of the campaign.
