MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Kevin Love paced a balanced Minnesota attack Friday and the Timberwolves benefited from a massive second period to run away from Washington 120-98.

The Timberwolves scored 39 points in the second quarter to take a 14-point halftime lead and went on to snap a two-game skid. Washington has lost each of its last four trips to Minnesota.

Love scored 25 points to go with 11 rebounds. Nikola Pekovic added 18 points and 10 boards for Minnesota and Kevin Martin had 12 points. Six Minnesota players, including all the starters, reached double figures and the Timberwolves turned the ball over just four times.

John Wall had 26 points for the Wizards, who had won their previous three outings.
