MIAMI, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- LeBron James poured in 38 points and Michael Beasley hit a pair of go-ahead free throws late in overtime Monday, lifting the Miami Heat over Atlanta 121-119.

James also provided eight rebounds and six assists for the Heat, who won their fifth straight game.

Miami was trailing 119-116 with 1:08 left in overtime when Chris Andersen executed a layup, cutting its deficit to one.

After Kyle Korver and Paul Millsap each missed a 3-point try for the Hawks, James fed Beasley in the lane, who drew a foul with 9.2 seconds remaining.

He connected on both free throws to put the Heat ahead by a point.

Korver missed a layup attempt over the rim on Atlanta's final push.

Ray Allen, filling in for an injured Dwyane Wade, netted 19 points for the Heat.

Jeff Teague put in 26 points and Millsap ended with 25 and 10 rebounds for the Hawks.

Al Horford contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds.
