NEW YORK, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Cam Talbot stopped 24-of-25 shots Sunday and the New York Rangers scored four unanswered goals in a 4-1 victory over Minnesota.
Talbot surrendered the game's first goal -- a score by Jason Pominville 4:08 into the game -- but then shut the door the rest of the way for New York, which improved to 2-4-2 on a nine-game homestand.

Benoit Pouliot made it 1-1 with 3:52 remaining in the first period, and Carl Hagelin, Mats Zuccarello and Chris Kreider followed with goals to complete the scoring.
Derick Brassard provided a pair of assists.
Jason Pominville got the only goal for the Wild, who dropped a second straight on the road.
Niklas Backstrom made 32 saves.
