DENVER, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- A Denver judge dismissed a domestic violence case against Colorado goaltender Semyon Varlamov at the request of the prosecutor, the Denver Post reported Friday.
Varlamov faced a misdemeanor third-degree assault charge as a result of an incident at the house where he lives with his girlfriend.

The Colorado goaltender has continued to travel and play with the Avalanche after posting a $5,000 bond.
Varlamov, in his sixth NHL season, has a 16-8-1 record with a 2.37 goals-against average.
