ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Jason Pominville got the only goal of a shootout Tuesday and the Minnesota Wild rallied from a late deficit to end Vancouver's seven-game winning streak, 3-2.

Minnesota was trailing 2-1 until Charlie Coyle took a pass from Mikko Koivu in the right circle and fired a wrist shot between the pads of Roberto Luongo for the equalizer 8:47 into the final period.

After a scoreless overtime, the game went to a shootout.

After Minnesota's Josh Harding made a save on Christopher Higgins to end the second round, Pominville put a forehand shot past Luongo to open the third.

Ryan Kesler missed the net on the Canucks' final try and the Wild notched their second straight shootout win.

Zach Parise scored in regulation, Koivu recorded two assists and Harding finished with 29 saves for Minnesota.

David Booth and Jannik Hansen scored for Vancouver, which fell for the first time since Nov. 30.

Luongo stopped 27-of-30 shots.
