DENVER, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Peter Stastny supplied two goals and a pair of assists Monday, sparking a potent offense that sent the Colorado Avalanche over Dallas 6-2.

In 26 career games against the Stars, the Avalanche center has amassed 16 goals and 14 assists for 30 points.

Tyson Barrie, Andre Benoit, Erik Johnson and Nathan McKinnon also scored and P.A. Parenteau added three assists for Colorado, which was coming off a 2-1 shootout loss to Minnesota Saturday.

Semyon Varlamov stopped 31-of-33 shots.

Tyler Seguin notched a goal and an assist and Kevin Connauton also scored for Dallas, which dropped a third in four games.

Kari Lehtonen made 42 saves for the Stars.
