NHL: Dallas 6, Winnipeg 4

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin each scored to take advantage of a 5-minute Dallas power play Saturday, igniting the Stars over Winnipeg 6-4.

With the score tied 3-3 late in the second period, the Jets' Anthony Peluso was given a major penalty for boarding the Stars' Alex Goligogski.

Benn notched the go-ahead goal a bit more than 2 minutes into the man-advantage and Seguin tallied again 1:03 later as Dallas avoided its first three-game losing streak of the season.

Benn and Seguin each finished with two goals, Colton Sceviour recorded his first NHL goal and Sergei Gonchar compiled four assists for Dallas.

Valeri Nichushkin added a goal and an assist, and Kari Lehtonen made 34 saves.

Blake Wheeler supplied two goals for the Jets, who went 0-2-1 on a three-game homestand. Olli Jokinen and Matt Halischuk also scored.

Ondrej Pavelec started in goal for Winnipeg but was pulled after yielding five goals on 24 shots through two periods.

Al Montoya turned aside 7-of-8 shots in the third.
