BUFFALO, N.Y., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Matt Stajan's goal 42 seconds into overtime Saturday capped a comeback that boosted the Calgary Flames over Buffalo 2-1.

After 2 1/2 scoreless periods, the Sabres finally went on top midway through the third period on a goal by Matt Moulson, but Paul Byron tied it for Calgary less than 3 minutes later.

Then in overtime, Stajan bested Jhonas Enroth with a shot from the left circle, handing the Flames their first victory in Buffalo in more than 17 years -- a span of nine games.

Karri Ramo earned the win with 26 saves for Calgary, which improved to 2-0 since the Thursday firing of General Manager Jay Feaster.

Enroth turned aside 24 shots for the Sabres.
