TORONTO, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Terrence Ross hit a key 3-pointer heading into the final 2 minutes Friday, helping Toronto pull away down the stretch to defeat Philadelphia 108-100.
The Raptors dealt the 76ers their fifth straight loss after letting almost all of an early 15-point lead slip away.
Philadelphia pulled within two points when Tony Wroten made a layup with 1:56 to go, but Ross followed with his 3-pointer that blunted the 76ers' charge. Philadelphia managed only two points the rest of the way, those coming on free throws by Thaddeus Young with 31 seconds left.
DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points with five rebounds and six assists to lead the Raptors. Ross contributed 26 points, making four from 3-point range.
Wroten finished with 23 points while Evan Turner scored 21 and grabbed 10 boards for the 76ers.
