COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Nick Foligno deflected in the go-ahead goal with his skate late in the third period Tuesday, lifting the Columbus Blue Jackets over New Jersey 5-4.

With the score tied 4-4 with 1 1/2 minutes left in regulation, Ryan Johansen sent a shot toward the net that bounced off Foligno's skate and past Devils goalie Martin Brodeur.

Brodeur complained to officials that Foligno had interfered with him in the net seconds before the decisive play, but the score was allowed to stand.

Cam Atkinson notched two goals and two assists and Brandon Dubinsky supplied a goal with three assists as the Blue Jackets recorded a fourth straight home win.

Curtis McElhinney earned the victory with 30 saves.

Matt Calvert also scored for Columbus.

Damien Brunner had two goals for the Devils.

Travis Zajac and Michael Ryder also scored and Brodeur finished with 18 saves.
