NFL: New York Jets 37, Oakland 27

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Geno Smith rebounded from a rough start last week to account for 269 yards of total offense Sunday, propelling the New York Jets over Oakland 37-27.

Smith completed 16-of-25 passes for 219 yards with a touchdown and also ran for a score, compiling 50 rushing yards on five caries as the Jets (6-7) snapped a three-game losing streak.

Smith was pulled from New York's previous game, a 23-3 loss to Miami.

Kellen Winslow led the Jets' receiving corps with three catches for 61 yards and Nick Folk was 3-for-3 on field goal tries.

Oakland's Matt McGloin, splitting time with Terrelle Pryor behind center, made good on 18-for-30 passes for 245 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Marcel Reece racked up 123 rushing yards with a touchdown for the Raiders (4-9).
