BOSTON, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- David Krejci and Zdeno Chara each scored late in the third period Saturday, rallying the Boston Bruins over Pittsburgh 3-2.
The Bruins were trailing 2-1 with 1 1/2 minutes left in the final period when Krejci scored the equalizer.
Chara put in his seventh goal of the season just 1:16 later for the decisive score.
Reilly Smith also scored and Tuukka Rask stopped 28 shots for the Bruins, who remained one point behind first-place Montreal in the Atlantic Division.
James Neal and Chris Kunitz each scored for Pittsburgh but it wasn't enough to prevent an end to the Penguins' five-game winning streak.
The Penguins lost defenseman Brooks Orpik when he was injured during a first-period fight with Bruins forward Shawn Thornton. He was taken off the ice on a stretcher and did not return.
Marc-Andre Fleury made 18 saves.
