NBA: Portland 130, Utah 98

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Wes Matthews ignited Portland's latest dominating performance by scoring 24 points Friday and the Trail Blazers swamped Utah 130-98.

Portland's current winning streak has reached four games, elevating the best record in the Western Conference to 17-3. It was the Trail Blazers' ninth win in 10 home games.

After taking an 11-point halftime lead, Portland outscored Utah in the third quarter 40-13.

Matthews made 8-of-11 from the field as part of Portland's 56 percent shooting effort. The Trail Blazers converted 17-of-24 from 3-point range.

Damian Lillard added 21 points while LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 points and 15 rebounds.

Utah lost for the 17th time, most in the NBA. The Jazz were led by 16 points by Alec Burks.
