NHL: Tampa Bay 3, Ottawa 1

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Two goals by Martin St. Louis and a 33-save effort from Ben Bishop Thursday brought Tampa Bay a 3-1 victory over Ottawa.

Playing against his former team, Bishop gave up only a second-period goal on the power play to Patrick Wiercioch.

St. Louis put the Lightning back in front with his second of the game and 12th of the season. That came with 6:41 left in the middle period and Valtteri Filppula gave Tampa Bay some insurance with an unassisted goal midway through the third.

Bishop improved his record to 15-5-1 for the season. Robin Lehner gave up three goals on 22 shots for Ottawa, which has lost seven out of 10.
