NHL: Minnesota 4, Chicago 3

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Defenseman Marco Scandella scored his first goal of the season with 1:48 left in regulation Thursday to give Minnesota a 4-3 win over Chicago.

The Wild took a 2-0 lead, fell behind by a goal and then rallied late for their second straight victory.

Scandella's goal was the fifth of his career in 116 games spread over four seasons with Minnesota.

After Chicago tallied twice in the first seven minutes of the third period to move in front 3-2, Jonas Brodin scored on the power play for the Wild with 5:39 to go in regulation.

That set up Scandella for his big shot that left the Blackhawks, the team with the best record in the NHL, with their second straight loss.

Matt Cooke and Zach Parise also scored for Minnesota and Josh Harding made 16 saves to get the win. Corey Crawford stopped 19-of-23 shots.
