TORONTO, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Brad Stuart
got a go-ahead goal in the second period Saturday and the streaking San Jose Sharks went on to notch a sixth straight win, 4-2 over Toronto.
Stuart's score with 4 minutes remaining in the middle period put the Sharks back in front after they had surrendered an early 2-0 lead.
Joe Thornton, Mike Brown and Logan Couture each added a goal as San Jose corralled a ninth victory in 10 games overall.
Antti Niemi stopped 28-of-30 shots to gain the win.
Phil Kessel and Mason Raymond each scored but it wasn't enough for the slumping Maple Leafs, who dropped a fifth straight.
James Reimer surrendered three goals on 40 shots.
