NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Olli Jokinen
scored twice in the third period and added an assist Monday, sending the Winnipeg Jets to a 5-2 victory over the New York Rangers.
The score was tied 2-2 with 7:18 remaining in the final period when an unguarded Jokinen collected a weird carom off the end boards and fired a quick shot past Rangers goalie Cam Talbot.
Jokinen made it 4-2 with 1:54 left when he launched a shot from the high slot that dribbled off Talbot and into the net.
Devin Setoguchi contributed a goal and an assist, John Albert recorded his first NHL goal and Blake Wheeler supplied an empty-netter for the Jets, who improved to 3-1-0 on a six-game road trip.
Ondrej Pavelec stopped 35-of-37 shots for the victory.
Ryan Callahan and Mats Zuccarello scored for the Rangers.
Talbot finished with 25 saves.
