NHL: Edmonton 3, Dallas 2 (SO)

DALLAS, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Jordan Eberle and David Perron each scored in a shootout Sunday, elevating the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-2 victory over Dallas.

The Oilers were trailing 2-1 with 5:07 left in the third period when Andrew Ference blasted a shot from the blue line past the Stars' Kari Lehtonen for the equalizer.

After a scoreless overtime, the game moved to a shootout.

Edmonton's Devan Dubnyk made a save on Jamie Benn to begin the tiebreaker and Eberle followed by jamming his shot past Lehtonen's skate and into the net.

The Stars' Rich Peverley missed on his second-round try and Perron went next, sending a shot over Lehtonen's glove.

Alex Chaisson lost the handle on Dallas' final attempt and the Oilers had their fifth win in seven games.

Ales Hemsky scored in regulation and Dubnyk finished with 15 saves after replacing starting goalie Ilya Bryzgalov in the second period. Bryzgalov left after colliding with Dallas' Ryan Garbutt.

Garbutt netted a both goals for the Stars, who dropped a second straight in a shootout.

Lehtonen recorded 30 saves.
