Clippers' Redick out 6-to-8 weeks with hand, elbow injuries

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Los Angeles Clippers guard J.J. Redick will be out 6-to-8 weeks with a broken hand and a torn elbow ligament, the team said Sunday.

Redick, averaging a career-best 15.8 points per game over 17 games with the Clippers this season, sustained a fractured bone in his right hand as well as a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow during Friday's win over Sacramento.

The 3-point specialist was hurt in the second quarter of the game when he collided with Kings center DeMarcus Cousins in midair and fell hard onto the court.

Redick came to Pacific Division-leading Los Angeles from Milwaukee in an offseason trade.
