NHL: Pittsburgh 5, Florida 1

SUNRISE, Fla., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Evgeni Malkin extended a recent hot streak with a goal and three assists Saturday in the Pittsburgh Penguins' 5-1 victory over Florida.

Malkin ran his point streak to eight games, during which he has racked up four goals and 13 assists.

Joe Vitale, James Neal, Chris Kunitz and Jussi Jokinen also scored for the Penguins, who recorded a sixth win in eight games.

Jeff Zatkoff made 39 saves to log the victory.

Scottie Upshall got the only goal for Florida, which fell for the fourth time in five contests.

Tim Thomas played the first two periods, stopping 9-of-13 shots.

Scott Clemmensen relieved and turned aside 8-of-9 shots the rest of the way for the Panthers.
