NBA: Houston 112, San Antonio 106

SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Patrick Beverley capped a late Houston rally with a go-ahead tip-in Saturday and the Rockets held on top San Antonio 112-106.

The Rockets found themselves trailing 106-103 with less than a minute remaining in the game but then went on a 9-0 run to grab the lead.

James Harden (31 points, seven rebounds, six assists) started the push with a score-tying 3-pointer, and the Spurs' Tony Parker blew a chance to take the lead when he missed a layup.

Harden responded with a power move at the other end. His layup rimmed out, but Beverley crashed the boards to tip the ball in over Tim Duncan, giving the Rockets a 108-106 lead.

San Antonio's Manu Ginobili then came up short on a 3-point try and Chandler Parsons wrapped up Houston's fifth straight win with a slam dunk.

Parsons finished with 25 points. Dwight Howard added 13 and 11 rebounds.

Parker provided 27 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Spurs, who dropped their first home game of the season.
