SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree has been activated after recovering from Achilles tendon surgery, the team said Tuesday.

Crabtree hasn't played this season having had surgery after tearing his Achilles in May. He was placed on the physically unable to play list before the start of the season.

Crabtree is expected to be on the field for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.

The former first-round draft choice enjoyed a standout season last year, making 85 catches for 1,105 yards with nine touchdowns.

In 58 career games with San Francisco, Crabtree has 260 receptions for 3,345 yards and 21 touchdowns.
